May 20-May 26 2007,14 students from RLA flew from Spokane to Las Vegas NV. We picked up two vans and began our expedtion.

We also drove thorugh DEATH VALLEY.Going through Death Valley was an experience to remember. There were the boring parts and the fun parts. One of the fun parts of Death Valley was when we had a road that was like a roller coaster you would go to the top of the hill than down again and right back up and it would through your stomach for a loop. Seeing the sand dunes coming up out of nowhere was another thing that causes fun for us in the vans. A lot of it was boring though because you had 100 hundred or even more miles of nothing but nothing you really were in the middle of no where. We had a constant heat and there were many dead zones where we had no music or phone service. All of us students were praising everything when we got to a little town and there was a bathroom and a gas station. It was like finding an oasis in the desert. We went through Death Valley so that we would not take the same two highways from Vegas to Yosemite and from Yosemite back to Vegas.
